Jordi Gual gives the results of CaixaBank to the shareholders' advisory committee

The chairman of CaixaBank, Jordi Gual, has met with the shareholders' advisory committee of the entity to present the results obtained in the first nine months of the year, in which recorded a record profit of 1,488 million euros, 53.4% �??�??more than in the same period of 2016.

Barcelona, �??�??Nov 16 (EFE) .- The chairman of CaixaBank, Jordi Gual, has met with the shareholders' advisory committee of the entity to present the results obtained in the nine first months of the year, in which it recorded a record profit of 1,488 million euros, 53.4% �??�??more than in the same period of 2016.

At the meeting, which was held today, Gual presented the best result of the historical CaixaBank for this period, thanks to the integration of the Portuguese bank BPI and the intense commercial activity of the entity.

During the second meeting that Gual has had with this group, the president of CaixaBank has commented that the entity will continue "strongly committed to economic, social and cultural development of the whole society ", thanks to the" trust that customers and shareholders deposit "every day in the bank.

He also commented that retail shareholders represent" an important source of stability for the entity "and that it is essential to share with them the" milestones "achieved in recent months.

The members of the committee have also known the latest pioneer initiatives of the entity, such as the shareholder virtual office, a new channel that allows the member to be reunited with a professional in relation to shareholders through videoconference.

In addition, they have been able to see the Aula application, the first free financial training app among the listed companies that CaixaBank launched last September.

Vice-president of CaixaBank, Antoni Massanell, stressed that the advisory committee is one of the channels of communication of the entity that serves to know the point of view and suggestions of the minority shareholders and that the shareholder virtual office contributes to improving communication with the entity.

CaixaBank's shareholders' advisory committee consists of 17 retail shareholders, who meet at least twice a year.

The maximum permanence of the members in this committee is three years, so that a part is renewed annually, being selected among the applications received.

The members must be shareholders of CaixaBank and have a minimum of 1,000 shares.

CaixaBank has received 44 applications opted for the five posts subject to renewal, and new members have joined: Xavier Martínez, Josep Antoni Diaz, Mónica de Quesada, Julián Gómez and Josep Francesc Moragrega.
