The governor participated today in a dinner with potential Chinese investors in the city of Shanghai, before whom he presented the possibilities of its state, especially of the new special economic zone of the port of Lázaro Cárdenas.

"It is the most important port in Mexico with the greatest potential of growth and that is now complemented by the declaration of the special economic zone, which undoubtedly opens investment opportunities for Chinese companies to go to Michoacán attracted, between other things, for the fiscal incentives, "said Aureoles.

The politician stressed that the objective of this trip has been to strengthen relations with China in the context of a deterioration of the ties with its main commercial partner, the United States, since the arrival of Donald Trump to power.

"China becomes a great opportunity for Mexico, but above all for Michoacán", insisted the Governor, a founding member of the left-leaning Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD).

This party presented a so-called alliance last September. Citizen Front for Mexico with the also leftist Movimiento Ciudadano and the conservative National Action Party (PAN).

Together they will compete in the next presidential elections year with the aim of defeating the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and in the coming days will officially present the candidate.

Accompanied by a delegation of his Government, Aureoles this week has held a tour to promote investment and trade in their region and during recent days has had meetings in the cities of Beijing and Shanghai with official institutions and companies of the Asian giant.

Among other activities, last Tuesday visited the special economic zone of Suzhou Industrial Park in order to take example for the future special area of �??�??Lázaro Cárdenas.
